Product Description
Trailer safety chains are a requirement in most states and serve as a backup if your trailer becomes disconnected from your tow vehicles hitch. When in use, safety chains are connected to both the trailer tongue and the tow vehicles’ safety chain anchor points. Two safety chains must be used per trailer and the chains must be installed in accordance to D.O.T. specifications.
These safety chains are made from 1/4” grade 70 chain and have a 1/4” grade 70 clevis slip hook pre-installed on one end. These safety chains and have a GTW (Gross Trailer Weight) rating of 12,600 lbs.
